What is Witchspire?

Witchspire is a magical open-world adventure with real-time combat, base building, crafting, familiars, exploration, and online co-op.

Is Witchspire a harsh survival game?

No. The game leans survival-lite: there is no passive hunger or thirst drain and no traditional durability pressure. The main loop is exploration, combat, crafting, Hearth progress, familiars, and Luminaries.

Where can I play it?

Witchspire is available on PC through Steam during Early Access.

Can I play solo?

Yes. Solo play is supported, and you can also play online co-op with friends.

Which Coven should I choose first?

Pick by the first few hours you want: close combat and mobility, safer spell spacing, gathering and nature, crafting progress, or co-op support. Your long-term build keeps evolving through gear, familiars, Hearth progress, and Luminaries.

How do I bond familiars?

Defeat a bondable creature and watch the spirit. If it lingers instead of flying away, hold F to bond. Carry Spirit Incense when hunting rare variants or station helpers.

What does the Hearth do?

The Hearth is your base anchor. It controls the building bubble, familiar management, healing and revival, workstations, storage flow, and return travel planning.

What are Luminaries?

Luminaries are the skill and tech tree. They unlock tools, recipes, building pieces, stat boosts, weapon routes, stations, and familiar support.

How do I return home from long routes?

Use Homebound Ritual Scrolls once you have access to them. Mirella sells them, and later the Witchcraft Circle lets you craft them with candle, ink, and feather materials.

How does co-op hosting work?

One player hosts the world. Friends can join that hosted world while the host is online.

How many players can join?

The current public FAQ material describes support for up to 6 players, with smaller groups being easier on host performance.

Should I change world settings before starting?

Yes, check difficulty, death penalty, XP rate, loot abundance, enemy damage, and familiar permadeath settings before committing to a world.
