Why the Hearth Matters
Base anchor
The Hearth is not just decoration. It is your base anchor, the center of the buildable bubble, and the place where several major systems touch.
Familiar management
Equip, heal, revive, rename, and organize familiars near the Hearth. If your party feels clumsy, return home and rebuild the team before pushing deeper.
Multiple bases
As progression opens up, multiple Hearths and base locations become part of route planning. Treat each Hearth as a local staging point for nearby materials, stations, and return travel.
Building with Astral Projection
Zero-gravity construction feel
Astral Projection lets you build without fighting ordinary positioning, height, or fall-risk limits. It is the reason Witchspire bases can become vertical, floating, and strange without feeling like a ladder puzzle.
Grid and height control
Grid snapping can help clean layouts, but it can also be turned off for organic shapes. Foundation heights can vary, which makes terraces, platforms, and uneven terrain easier to use.
Terrain logic
Witchspire is built around a hand-crafted world rather than digging and terraforming. Plan around natural caves, cliffs, trees, and the Hearth bubble instead of trying to flatten everything.
Stations and Progression
Workbench
The Workbench is your early crafting base and the first stop for many practical items.
Furnace
The Furnace turns ore routes into metal progress, supports chains like wood to charcoal and sand to glass, and can benefit from assigned familiars.
Spinner
The Spinner handles the fiber and cloth chain, which quickly becomes important for beds, comfort, and base upgrades.
Witchcraft Circle
The Witchcraft Circle opens ritual crafting, including candles, scrolls, and the Homebound Ritual Scroll route.
Homebound Ritual Scroll
Buy or craft
A Homebound Ritual Scroll returns you to the last visited Hearth or a safe location. Mirella sells it for 25 coins, and later you can craft it at the Witchcraft Circle.
Crafting route
The current scroll route uses Simple Ritual Candle, Shimmering Ink, and Azure Feather. Simple Ritual Candles use wood, Shimmering Ink uses Shimmerdust from magical Alder tree areas, and Azure Feathers come from blue flying familiars such as Taileaf.
Witchcraft Circle unlock
A practical route is Hearth Level 3, spend 1 Luminary Point on Witchcraft Circle, then build it with Spirit Dust and Stone. Once it is placed, keep scroll materials in base storage.
First Base Layout
Keep the center clear
Leave space around the Hearth for familiar management and station access. Crowding the center makes every return trip slower.
Put noisy stations together
Group Workbench, Furnace, Spinner, and material chests so one trip handles crafting, smelting, cloth, and repairs.
Keep an exploration exit
Place a chest near the exit with scrolls, incense, pellets, food or healing, and tool materials. It turns every trip into a repeatable route instead of a scramble.
